Speaking at his party's district congress, NEW Party Spokesperson Zeynel Emre made allegations that former Minister of Family and Social Policies Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and her husband İlyas Kaya generated billions of liras in profits through stock market transactions.
Allegations Brought Up at the Congress
NEW Party Spokesperson Zeynel Emre made striking statements and drew attention by putting forward striking claims regarding financial markets at the party's Bahçelievler 1st Ordinary District Congress.
Investment and Withdrawal Amounts Disclosed
Emre claimed that former Minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya deposited 63 million 359 thousand liras and withdrew 1 billion 344 million liras within four months, while her husband İlyas Kaya deposited 99 million 687 thousand liras and withdrew 826 million liras.
Transaction Dates and Money Transfers
Stating that the transactions in question began on April 8 and the funds were withdrawn in September, Emre said that the amounts obtained were transferred to various accounts inside and outside Turkey.
Call for Resignation and Response
Following these developments, journalist Sinan Burhan invited former Minister Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya to respond to the allegations brought to the agenda and to resign.
