According to a statement made by the Ankara Chamber of Industry, the capital's exports in the first eight months of this year increased by 20.7 percent compared to the same period of last year, reaching 12 billion 156 million dollars, making Ankara the third province with the highest exports.

Export Growth Exceeding Twenty Percent

According to the statement made by the Ankara Chamber of Industry, the capital's exports increased by 2 billion 85 million dollars in the first 8 months of this year compared to the same period of last year.

Exports in this period showed an increase of 20.7 percent, reaching a total level of 12 billion 156 million dollars.

Rise to the Third Province Position

Ankara, whose share in Turkey's total country exports increased from 6.5 percent to 7.5 percent, became the third province with the highest exports.

The annualized export figure of the capital was recorded as 19.57 billion dollars.

Record Level in August

Ankara's exports last month reached 1 billion 347 million dollars, with an increase of 2.9 percent compared to the same month of 2025.

With this figure achieved, the highest August export figure of the last three years was attained.

Exports to One Hundred Sixty-Eight Countries

Companies from Ankara managed to make exports to 168 different countries worldwide in August.

The total share of the top 10 markets in these exports was determined as 56.5 percent.

Electrical and Electronics Sector is the Leader

The electrical and electronics sector ranked first in the capital's exports with 1 billion 513 million dollars, and this field grew by 82 percent.

This sector was followed respectively by automotive, chemical substances, machinery parts, and mining products.
