According to TURKSTAT data, the Turkish economy grew by 2.3 percent in the second quarter, reaching an uninterrupted growth streak of 24 quarters; business world representatives shared their growth rates and future expectations.
According to the 2026 second quarter GDP results announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the Turkish economy recorded an annual growth of 2.3 percent. With this announced rate, the economy continued its growth streak for the 24th consecutive quarter, while the presidents of leading institutions and organizations of the business world made various evaluations on the matter.
Growth Data of the Turkish Economy
The Turkish Statistical Institute shared the Gross Domestic Product results for the second quarter covering April and June of this year with the public.
According to the announced data, GDP as a chained volume index increased by 2.3 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
With this result, the Turkish economy demonstrated the success of recording uninterrupted growth for 24 consecutive quarters.
Emphasis on Trust Competition from DEİK President
Foreign Economic Relations Board President Nail Olpak stated that it is noteworthy that the Turkish economy continues to grow despite uncertainties experienced on a global scale.
Olpak conveyed that they define the upcoming new period as 'trust competition' and that this process is of critical importance in terms of economic stability.
Financing and Price Stability Message from ATO and ASO
Ankara Chamber of Commerce President Gürsel Baran underlined the uninterrupted growth of the economy for 24 quarters and stated that they believe financing conditions will improve as inflation recedes in the upcoming period.
Ankara Chamber of Industry President Seyit Ardıç, on the other hand, emphasized that price stability is the most fundamental condition for achieving a sustainable growth environment.

Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association Chairman Orhan Aydın noted that the real sector urgently needs a predictable investment environment to carry out its activities.
Turkish Plastics Federation President Ömer Karadeniz also pointed out the importance of the recovery trend observed in the industrial sector gaining a permanent structure.
