President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan in Bishkek, where he is visiting for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit.
Strategic Contacts in Bishkek
According to the statement issued by the Presidency's Directorate of Communications, bilateral relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan were addressed in all aspects during the meeting.
Coming together in Bishkek on the occasion of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit, the leaders also exchanged views on various regional and global issues.
Invitation to Summits in Turkey
President Erdoğan officially invited Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov to the Organization of Turkic States Summit to be held in Turkey.
Erdoğan also extended an invitation to Japarov to attend the COP31 organization planned to be hosted by Turkey.
Economic and Security Cooperation
The potential for cooperation between the two countries in trade, energy, defense industry, and investment areas was evaluated.
Erdoğan emphasized the importance of the continued growth of solidarity under the headings of security and the fight against terrorism.
