According to the weekly data published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, the sector's total loan volume and deposit amounts gained significant momentum in the week ending September 25.

Increase in Loan Volume

The total loan volume of the banking sector increased by 164 billion 595 million liras as of September 25 compared to the previous week.

With this increase, the total loan volume reached 28 trillion 402 billion 282 million liras, exceeding the level of the previous week.

Total Deposit Status

Total deposits in the banking sector, including interbank transactions, increased by 122 billion 81 million liras last week.

The total deposit amount, which was 32 trillion 553 billion 270 million liras the previous week, rose to 32 trillion 675 billion 352 million liras as of September 25.

Distribution of Consumer Loans

The total amount of consumer loans increased by 34 billion 253 million liras in the respective week, reaching 3 trillion 485 billion 459 million liras.

Housing loans amounted to 838 billion 850 million liras, vehicle loans to 42 billion 375 million liras, and personal loans to 2 trillion 604 billion 234 million liras.

Commercial Loans and Cards

The amount of installment commercial loans increased by 18 billion 249 million liras in the same period, rising to 4 trillion 283 billion 287 million liras.

Banks' individual credit card receivables saw a level of 3 trillion 463 billion 851 million liras with an increase of 23 billion 576 million liras.

Non-Performing Loans and Equity

Non-performing loans in the banking sector increased by 11 billion 305 million liras as of September 25 compared to the previous week, rising to 887 billion 804 million liras.

Legal equity, on the other hand, rose by 86 billion 126 million liras on a weekly basis, reaching the level of 6 trillion 142 billion 471 million liras.
