BIST 100 index declined in the first half of the day on Borsa Istanbul
While the BIST 100 index fell by 2.71 percent to 12,549.18 points in the first half of the day, all sector indices lost value.
The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul showed a downward trend in the first half of the day, decreasing by 350.16 points and 2.71 percent compared to the previous close to 12,549.18 points.
Trading Volume and Index Status
In the first half of the day, the total trading volume reached the level of 56.8 billion lira. During this process, the BIST 100 index saw a low of 12,518.82 and a high of 12,750.45 points.
Sector Performance
While all sector indices lost value in the first half of the day, the largest decrease was seen in the financial leasing and factoring sector with 8.94 percent.
The banking index lost 1.24 percent and the holding index lost 3.52 percent in value.
Market Expectations and Levels
Analysts stated that the US September Dallas Fed manufacturing index will be monitored for the rest of the day.
From a technical perspective, it was noted that 12,400 and 12,200 points are in the support position, while 12,700 and 12,800 points are in the resistance position for the BIST 100 index.
