BIST 100 Index Declined in the First Half Session of the Day

Following a downward trend in the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index declined to the 12,362.20 level as of 13:00, while the total trading volume reached 47.8 billion liras.
Sector Performance Status
Examining sector indices, the banking index lost 0.04 percent and the holding index lost 0.48 percent. Paper and forest products was the top-gaining sector with 2.51 percent.
Top-Losing Sector
During the first half of the day, the sector that suffered the greatest loss on the stock exchange was financial leasing and factoring, dropping by 6.51 percent.
General Status of Global Markets
Global markets are following a positive trend driven by favorable expectations regarding companies' third-quarter balance sheets, the decline in oil prices, and the easing of selling pressure in bond markets.
Data to Follow and Support-Resistance Levels
Analysts stated that the domestic real effective exchange rate and monthly price developments report, alongside the US foreign trade balance abroad, will be monitored, and announced the technical levels. Accordingly, support levels for the BIST 100 index are at 12,200 and 12,100 points, while resistance levels are at 12,500 and 12,600 points.
