Bloomberg HT September Interest Rate Survey Results Announced
The common expectation of market participants is that the Central Bank will not make any changes to interest rates at its September meeting.
The September CBRT interest rate survey conducted by Bloomberg HT has concluded, with the research involving 19 institutions predicting that interest rates will remain unchanged.
Expectations of Participating Institutions
A total of 19 institutions participated in the Bloomberg HT survey regarding the September CBRT interest rate decision, forming a common expectation.
Interest Rate Forecasts for the September Meeting
All institutions participating in the survey expect the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey to keep the interest rate constant at 37 percent at its meeting scheduled for September 10.
Year-End Policy Rate Projections
The market's policy rate forecast for the end of 2026 remained unchanged compared to the previous survey period, staying at 35 percent.
Lowest and Highest Expectations for Year-End
Among the participants' interest rate forecasts for the end of 2026, the highest expectation was recorded at 37 percent, while the lowest expectation stood at 34 percent.
The Central Bank's Previous Decision
As it may be recalled, the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey had also kept the policy rate unchanged at 37 percent during its meeting held in July.
