While the abundance of bonito continues across the Black Sea, the size and weight of the fish at stalls in Trabzon have increased to reach 1 kilo, and prices have shaped between 100 and 150 TL in parallel with this change.
Bonito Sizes and Weight Have Increased
Bonito, which were caught weighing between 300 and 500 grams at the beginning of the season, have grown and reached up to 1 kilo in weight at the stalls.

Fishmonger Ahmet Çoğalmış stated that the season started quite well and the upward trend in the quantity of bonito continues.
Change in Prices and Reasons
Depending on the increase in the weight per fish, a small rise of 20 to 50 TL occurred in prices, with prices finding the 100-150 TL range.

Tradesman Emin Avcı stated that citizens show intense interest in bonito and that sales increase noticeably, especially on weekends.
