Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day with an increase and eyes turned to the US
Following the opening at Borsa Istanbul, investors focused on the critical employment data coming from the US.
While the BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.19 percent increase at 12,271.92 points, global markets are awaiting the US non-farm payrolls data.

The BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul started the day with a 0.19 percent increase at 12,271.92 points. Compared to the previous close, the index recorded an increase of 22.88 points.
In the market, which followed a buyer-weighted course yesterday, the index completed the day by gaining 2.53 percent at 12,249.04 points.
Different Levels in Sector Indices
While the banking index started the day with a 0.15 percent loss in value, the decline in the holding index materialized as 1.11 percent.
Among the sector indices, the highest gainer was the IT sector with 0.72 percent, while the biggest decline was in financial leasing and factoring with 7.38 percent.
Global Markets and US Data
A mixed trend stands out in global markets due to the impact of heavy selling pressure in the bond market.
All eyes are turned to the non-farm payrolls data to be announced in the US today.
