Second Quarter Growth Data for the Year to Be Announced
The focus of the markets will be on the second-quarter growth data to be released on Monday, August 31. The Turkish Statistical Institute will announce the Gross Domestic Product results for the April-June period.
Economists participating in the AA Finance expectations survey expect the Turkish economy to grow by 2.80 percent in the second quarter compared to the same period of last year.
Export and Inflation Figures to Be Announced Together
The Ministry of Trade and the Turkish Exporters Assembly are expected to release provisional foreign trade data for August on Thursday, September 3.
On the same day, consumer and producer price indices for August will be shared with the public by the TURKSTAT.
Central Bank Monetary Policy Committee Interest Rate Decision
Among the key developments to be monitored by the markets is the meeting of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Monetary Policy Committee.
The committee will announce the eagerly awaited interest rate decision on September 10, after which balance of payments data will be released.
Medium-Term Program and Roadmap
The updated Medium-Term Program, which will constitute the three-year roadmap of the Turkish economy, will be shared in the first week of September.
Under the new program, macroeconomic targets for the 2027-2029 period will gain clarity.
