Capital Markets Board Extends Mutual Funds Liquidation Period
The liquidation process of mutual funds has been reorganized, taking into account portfolio structures and market conditions.
The Capital Markets Board extended the liquidation period for mutual funds from 3 months to 6 months, considering portfolio structures and market developments.
New Regulation on Liquidation Period
In line with new principle decisions taken by the Capital Markets Board, changes were made to the procedures and principles of fund liquidation. Within this scope, a new timeframe was granted for the processes of funds announced for liquidation.
Period Increased from 3 Months to 6 Months
According to the amendment, taking into account the portfolio structures of the funds to be liquidated and market developments, the liquidation period, which was previously set at a maximum of 3 months, has been increased to 6 months.
Authorized Banks and Process
Previously on September 17, the Board had authorized Türkiye İş Bankası and Ziraat Bankası to carry out the processes regarding 131 mutual funds being liquidated from 7 portfolio management companies.
