Capital Markets Board Statement Regarding Instructions of Funds in Liquidation Process
The CMB announced that all TEFAS instructions given on September 17 for liquidated funds have been cancelled and payments will be made from the liquidation balance.
The Capital Markets Board published a new announcement regarding funds in the liquidation process, stating that all instructions transmitted through the Turkish Electronic Fund Trading Platform on September 17 have been cancelled and payments will be made from the liquidation balance.
Liquidation Process of Funds
The announcement on the official website of the Capital Markets Board reminded that the funds whose founders are the portfolio management companies mentioned in the Board bulletin dated September 17, 2026, have been subjected to liquidation. In this context, the relevant funds were closed to purchase and sale transactions through the Turkish Electronic Fund Trading Platform as of the same date.
Transaction Suspension Decisions
While the current list of the funds subjected to liquidation was shared with the public, it was officially stated that purchase and sale transactions of these funds outside the platform have also been suspended. In line with the decisions taken, the course of transactions in the market was reorganized.
Valid Instructions
It was stated that only the purchase and sale instructions regarding these funds transmitted to the Turkish Electronic Fund Trading Platform on or before September 16 were included in the ordinary operation of the platform. Instructions prior to this date were evaluated according to existing rules.
Cancelled Transactions
Due to the fact that the relevant funds were closed to transactions on the platform on September 17, it was pointed out that all instructions given for these funds on this date were cancelled by the Turkish Electronic Fund Trading Platform. Steps were taken to prevent investors from suffering grievances in this regard.
Making Payments
In the statement made by the Board, it was emphasized that payments will be made from the liquidation balance to the holders of the instructions transmitted and cancelled on September 17. Information was shared that payments will be carried out according to the participation share ownership ratio in the fund.
Other Requests Included in the Scope
In terms of the application of the relevant provision of the liquidation procedures and principles, it was stated that instructions that were transmitted to the platform on or before September 16 but could not be executed are also within the scope of liquidation. Transactions that could not be executed due to default or failure to announce prices were also included in this process.
