Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Announces September Real Effective Exchange Rate Data
According to Central Bank data, the real value of the Turkish lira showed a moderate increase in September compared to the previous month.
According to the Real Effective Exchange Rate Developments report for September published by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, the real value of the Turkish lira increased on both CPI and D-PPI bases.
Real Effective Exchange Rate Data
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey shared the Real Effective Exchange Rate Developments report for September with the public. According to the released data, the upward movement in the real value of the Turkish lira continued in September.
CPI-Based Index Change
The real effective exchange rate index with a base year of 2025 equals 100 increased by 0.45 points in September on a CPI basis compared to the previous month, reaching the level of 105.45. This index was at the level of 105 in August.
D-PPI-Based Index Change
The real effective exchange rate index based on the Domestic Producer Price Index experienced an increase of 0.51 points in the same period, rising to 101.62.
Year-on-Year Changes
As a result of these developments, the value of the Turkish lira recorded an increase of 6.91 points on a CPI basis and 2.08 points on a D-PPI basis compared to the same period of the previous year.
