Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey Reserves Continue to Increase

According to official data released, the Central Bank's gross reserves and net reserves excluding swaps gained upward momentum in the relevant week of August.

According to the latest data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, gross reserves experienced a significant increase in the week ending August 21, and the recovery process in net reserves excluding swaps continued.

Increase in Gross Reserves

According to the data of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, gross foreign exchange and gold reserves recorded an increase of approximately 5 billion dollars in the week of August 21. With this increase, the total gross reserve level reached 188.4 billion dollars.

Net and Swap-Excluded Reserve Status

In the same period, net reserves showed a limited decline from 67.1 billion dollars to 66.9 billion dollars, while a significant recovery was observed in net reserves excluding swaps.

According to calculations, net reserves excluding swaps increased by 1.7 billion dollars in the relevant week, rising to the level of 55.9 billion dollars.
