According to the weekly money and bank statistics announced by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, total reserves decreased by 252 million dollars in the week ending August 28.
Change in Total Reserves
The total reserves of the Central Bank decreased by 252 million dollars in the week of August 28 compared to the previous week.
According to the released data, the total reserve amount dropped from 188 billion 450 million dollars to 188 billion 198 million dollars.
Status of Gross Foreign Exchange Reserves
During the relevant period, a decrease was experienced in the gross foreign exchange reserves of the Central Bank.
Gross foreign exchange reserves fell by 3 billion 119 million dollars to 71 billion 109 million dollars.
In the previous week on August 21, gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 74 billion 228 million dollars.
Increase in Gold Reserves
In contrast to the decline in foreign exchange reserves, an increase was recorded in gold reserves this week.
Gold reserves increased by 2 billion 868 million dollars, rising from 114 billion 221 million dollars to 117 billion 89 million dollars.
