China's Current Account Surplus for the Second Quarter of the Year Announced
Announcing its final data for the April-June 2026 period, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China shared figures regarding the country's economic balance.
According to data shared by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China, the country achieved a significant economic balance in the second quarter of 2026, recording a current account surplus of $193.7 billion.
Details of the Current Account
The State Administration of Foreign Exchange of China shared the final current account for the April-June 2026 period with the public and clarified the country's financial situation.
According to the official data announced, the country managed to achieve a total current account surplus of $193.7 billion in the second quarter of the year.
Distribution of Items and Balance Figures
During this period, a surplus of $278.8 billion was recorded in goods trade, while a deficit of $55.4 billion occurred in services trade.
Additionally, it was recorded that there was a deficit of $35.9 billion in the investments item and a surplus of $6.3 billion in the current transfers area.
Comparison with the First Quarter of the Year
Looking at the economic course throughout the year, the country's current account balance had presented a similar picture in the previous period.
The Chinese economy had maintained its strong course by recording a current account surplus of $184.3 billion in the first quarter of the year.
