Construction Work Continues on New Convention Center in Gaziantep
The giant facility being built by the Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality aims to increase the city's tourism and cultural potential.
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fatma Şahin inspected the construction work on-site at the new convention center, which covers an area of 35,000 square meters and has a capacity of 4,120 people.
Project Area and Transportation Advantages
Located at the intersection of Şahinbey and Şehitkamil districts, the facility offers ease of transportation with its proximity to the tram line, public transportation routes, and main arterial roads.
Capacity and Event Areas
With a total capacity of 4,120 people, the new convention center is planned to host national and international events. It was stated that the facility is being prepared for theatrical performances, concerts, and large-scale organizations.
Educational Support and Opening Target
While successful global examples were examined during the preparation phase of the project, it was announced that the facility will offer practical training opportunities for students in the fields of civil engineering, architecture, and vocational training. The facility is targeted to be completed before the elections.
