Compared to the previous month, the consumer confidence index recorded an increase of 1.0 percent in August, reaching a level of 90.8.
Status of the Real Sector Confidence Index
The real sector confidence index, covering the manufacturing industry, showed an increase of 1.2 percent in August, taking a value of 102.4.
Service and Retail Sectors
The service sector confidence index decreased by 0.1 percent in August, declining to a value of 111.9.
The retail trade sector confidence index, on the other hand, recorded a decline to 110.1 with a 0.8 percent drop.
Construction Sector Confidence Index
The construction sector confidence index showed a decrease of 0.4 percent in August, taking a value of 83.1.
