Consumer Confidence Index Rises by 1.3 Percent in September
According to the September survey conducted in partnership by the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank, the consumer confidence index recorded an increase.
The September data of the consumer tendency survey, prepared in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, has been shared with the public.
General Change in the Index
The September results of the consumer tendency survey conducted in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey have been announced, and the consumer confidence index, which was at 90.8 in August, increased by 1.3 percent in September.
Index Level
The consumer confidence index, which was at 90.8 in August, rose to a total level of 91.9 with the 1.3 percent increase recorded in September.
Durable Consumer Goods
When sub-indices are examined in detail, the intention to spend on durable consumer goods covering the next 12-month period recorded a 3.6 percent increase on a monthly basis.
Increase in Spending Tendency
The intention to spend on durable consumer goods in the next 12-month period rose from 105.1 to 108.8 with this increase.
Financial Situation Expectation
The household financial situation expectation covering the next 12-month period experienced a 0.6 percent increase, rising to 93.7.
General Economic Outlook
The general economic situation expectation for the upcoming period stood at 89.8 with a limited increase of 0.5 percent.
Decline in Current Situation
The relevant index showing the current financial situation of the household experienced a 0.1 percent decline, dropping from 75.4 to 75.3.
