Consumer Confidence Index Rose According to Turkish Statistical Institute Data
Increasing by 1.3 percent in September, the consumer confidence index reached its highest level recorded since July 2018.
According to data shared by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the consumer confidence index increased by 1.3 percent on a monthly basis in September, rising to 91.9 and reaching its highest point in the last eight years.
September Index Values
The results of the Consumer Tendency Survey, prepared in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey, have been announced.
According to the announced data, while the consumer confidence index was 90.8 in August, it increased by 1.3 percent in September to reach 91.9.
Historical Comparison
With this rate realized in September, the index recorded its highest level seen since July 2018.
In the July 2018 period, the index value in question was at the level of 92.9.
Changes in Sub-Items
The financial situation of the household index in the current period decreased by 0.1 percent in September, falling to 75.3.
The expectation for the financial situation of the household over the next 12 months increased by 0.6 percent from 93.1 in August to 93.7.
Economic Expectations and Spending Tendencies
The general economic situation expectation index covering the next 12 months was calculated as 89.8 with an increase of 0.5 percent.
The index for the thought of spending on durable consumer goods over the next 12 months increased by 3.6 percent to reach the level of 108.8.
