Critical Economic Data and Calendar to Be Announced in September

With the summer months behind us, TÜİK inflation and growth figures, the CBRT interest rate decision, and the Medium-Term Program are on the September agenda.

As the summer months come to an end, the intense data and policy calendar of the Turkish economy has begun to take shape. In addition to the inflation and GDP data to be announced by TÜİK in September, the CBRT interest rate decision and the Medium-Term Program will be closely monitored by the markets.

Second Quarter Growth Data

The Turkish Statistical Institute will share the Gross Domestic Product data for the second quarter of the year with the public.

Foreign Trade and Inflation Figures

Following the record-breaking exports in July, the preliminary foreign trade data for August, prepared in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade and TIM, will be announced.

The August inflation data will be announced to the public at the time determined by TÜİK.

Central Bank Interest Rate Decision

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey will convene in September to announce the sixth interest rate decision of the year.

Industrial Production and Budget Developments

The July industrial production index, balance of payments statistics, and budget realizations of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance will be monitored.

Medium-Term Program and Budget

The Medium-Term Program, which outlines the three-year roadmap of the Turkish economy, will be presented to the public in the first week of September.
