Cultural and Sports Complexes May Be Closed Against Energy Cuts in Iran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that cultural and sports complexes, as well as unused buildings, could be temporarily closed to prevent energy outages and support production.
Decision to Support Production
According to statements on the official website of the Iranian Presidency, President Masoud Pezeshkian comprehensively evaluated the issues of energy and production in the country. Pezeshkian stated that they are in an all-out war in every aspect, but even under these conditions, they continue the paths of negotiation and dialogue. He emphasized that they defend the country's interests from a position of honor.
Temporary Closure Measures
Expressing the need to prevent energy and electricity cuts, Pezeshkian stated that they will never allow the wheels of production to be damaged. In this direction, he conveyed that consumption habits will be reorganized, and if necessary, unused buildings along with cultural and sports complexes will be temporarily closed to support production.
Call to Reduce Consumption
Noting that strengthening people's livelihoods and supporting production are their main priorities, Masoud Pezeshkian drew attention to the difficulties in the energy sector. He stated that consumption must be reduced in electricity, natural gas, gasoline, water, and all other energy sources, making a call to the public for conservation.
