While the daily e-commerce volume conducted via the internet in Turkey has reached 12.5 billion liras, it was recorded that an average of 16.3 million transactions are made every day.

Daily Volume of E-Commerce

With changing shopping habits in Turkey, the weight of internet-based transactions in the economy is increasing day by day. The daily e-commerce volume of approximately 12.5 billion liras shows that consumers spend billions of liras through digital screens.

While approximately 16.3 million e-commerce transactions take place across the country by the end of the day, this rate corresponds to approximately 678 thousand transactions on an hourly basis and over 11 thousand transactions per minute.

Sectoral Spending Distribution

The daily average amount of online food orders is around 740 million liras. In clothing, footwear, and accessory shopping, the daily volume reaches approximately 1.17 billion liras.

Purchases of technology products such as phones, computers, and televisions made via the internet amount to approximately 834 million liras every day.

The digital shopping process, starting with a small touch on the screen, sets in motion a giant economic chain stretching from the manufacturer to the warehouse, from the bank to cargo, and from the vehicle to the courier's doorstep.
