President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stated in his post-Cabinet meeting speech that the Turkish economy continues to advance on the path of development and growth. Emphasizing that the fight against production and inflation will continue resolutely, Erdoğan announced the schedule for social housing and rental housing in Istanbul, as well as the extension of the 'Half is on Us' campaign.

Economic Policies and the MTP

Stating that they continue to keep the economy on the path of development and growth, President Erdoğan expressed that they will transform the Turkish economy into a stronger and more competitive structure in every field.

With the Medium Term Program, it is targeted to strengthen the agriculture, industry, and tourism sectors, and to increase high-technology production and export capacity.

Emphasis on the Fight Against Inflation

Despite geopolitical risks, it was stated that there will be no change in policies prioritizing investment, employment, production, and exports, and that the fight against inflation will continue.

It was stated that steps to increase the welfare of the nation and produce permanent solutions to structural problems will continue to be taken.

Shanghai Cooperation Organization

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization, in which Turkey is a dialogue partner, ranks at the top of regional organizations with which relations have intensified in recent years.

It was noted that diplomatic and economic relations with this organization, seen as a complement to the United Nations, will continue to be developed.

Rental Housing Applications

Applications for the first of the 15,000 rental housing units planned in addition to the social housing to be built in Istanbul will begin to be accepted on September 14.

It was announced that the drawing of lots for the first 1,000 rental housing units will take place within October.

Half is on Us Campaign

In the 'Half is on Us' project, which aims to accelerate the transformation of risky structures in Istanbul, the transformation of 108,881 independent sections has been completed so far.

It was announced that the duration of the project, which was planned to end at the end of this year, has been extended until December 31, 2027.
