The Medium-Term Program shared with the public last week included various details pointing to the beginning of preparations for the election projected to be held in 2027.
Notable Increases in Budget Items
It was observed that the announced budget plannings project a 130 percent increase in the capital transfer item and a 45.3 percent increase in current transfers.
While the increase rate in capital expenditures directly carried out by the state remained at 3.8 percent, a 44.4 percent increase was planned in the goods and services purchase item.
Changes in Social and Health Expenditures
In statements made by Vice President Yılmaz, it was reported that a 43 percent increase in health expenditures and a 150 percent increase in social housing expenditures are projected.
Non-Interest Expenditures and Pension Studies
While non-interest expenditures in the 2027 budget are expected to increase by 38.3 percent to rise to 23 trillion 298 billion liras, agricultural supports were also updated.
Meanwhile, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek announced to the public that a comprehensive study regarding the lowest pensions has been initiated.
