Duration of the 'Half is on Us' Campaign Extended
The application and implementation period of the 'Half is on Us' Campaign, which accelerates Istanbul's urban transformation process, has been extended, and the scope of support provided to citizens has been broadened.
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that the duration of the 'Half is on Us' Campaign, aimed at accelerating urban transformation efforts in Istanbul, has been extended by one year until December 31, 2027.
Campaign Duration Extended
Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated in a post on his social media account that the duration of the 'Half is on Us' Campaign, announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has been extended.
Expressing that the campaign duration has been extended until December 31, 2027, in line with the requests of citizens, Minister Kurum emphasized that they will continue to stand by those who want to transform their homes.
Transformation Data Shared
Providing information that 435,683 independent units across Istanbul have been included in the transformation scope to date, Minister Kurum noted that the transformation of 108,881 of these units has been completed.
It was also shared with the public through statements made by the Ministry that the target is to include more than 500,000 residences within the scope of the campaign by the end of the year.
Campaign Support Items
Within the framework of the campaign, which entered into force on February 22, 2024, to accelerate urban transformation in Istanbul, a total of 1 million 875 thousand liras in support—consisting of grants, loans, and eviction aid—is provided to citizens for their residences.
Out of this support package, 875 thousand liras are offered to beneficiaries as a grant, 875 thousand liras as a loan, and 125 thousand liras as eviction support.
Workplace and Compound Transformations
Under the same conditions, 437 thousand 500 liras in grants, 437 thousand 500 liras in loans, and 125 thousand liras in moving support are provided for a right-holder's shop or workplace, while loan opportunities are granted for other workplaces.
It is stated that in area-based and housing compound-like large transformations, construction works are undertaken by TOKİ or Emlak Konut, and grant and moving supports are deducted from the building cost.
