Economic Confidence Index in Turkey Rose by 0.8 Percent in August

According to the data for August 2026 announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the economic confidence index recorded a 0.8 percent increase on a monthly basis.
Economic Confidence Increased in August
The Turkish Statistical Institute shared the Economic Confidence Index data for August 2026 with the public. According to the announced figures, the index recorded a 0.8 percent increase compared to the previous month. The index, which was at the 99.8 level in July, reached a value of 100.6 in August.
Consumer and Real Sector Indices Increased
When the sub-items are examined, the consumer confidence index increased by 1.0 percent compared to the previous month, taking a value of 90.8. In the same period, the real sector manufacturing industry confidence index showed an increase of 1.2 percent, rising to the 102.4 level.
Decline in Services, Retail, and Construction Sectors
Different trends were observed in various sectors; the services sector confidence index decreased by 0.1 percent to 111.9. While the retail trade sector confidence index took a value of 110.1 with a 0.8 percent drop, the construction sector confidence index declined to the 83.1 level with a 0.4 percent decrease.
