Economic Partnership Agreement Between Syria and Uzbekistan
The two countries have decided to establish a new commission to strengthen economic and trade relations and develop joint business opportunities.
Syria and Uzbekistan have signed a memorandum of understanding providing for the establishment of a Joint Economic and Trade Commission to regularly monitor economic and trade relations and develop joint business opportunities.
Signing Ceremony Held in Tashkent
Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry Nidal Al-Shaar and Uzbek Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Laziz Kudratov signed the official agreements. Prior to the signing ceremony, opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed in detail.
Investment and Trade Projects
During the talks, mechanisms for attracting investments were addressed. Additionally, the development of industrial and trade projects, as well as benefiting from Uzbekistan's experience in facilitating investment processes, were evaluated.
Annual Regular Meetings
The commission to be established under the memorandum of understanding will meet once a year on a rotational basis in Syria and Uzbekistan, with the participation of private sector representatives. This mechanism aims to transform economic dialogue into concrete partnerships.
Economic Delegation Visit
The Syrian Minister of Economy and Industry had paid an official visit to Uzbekistan at the head of an economic delegation to expand cooperation and realize joint projects.
