Economists' September and Year-End Inflation Expectations Announced

The inflation expectation survey prepared by AA Finance for the September data to be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute has been concluded. In the study conducted with the participation of twenty economists, the average September CPI increase expectation was calculated as 2.18 percent.

September CPI Expectations

The results of the September inflation expectation survey, conducted with the participation of twenty economists, were shared with the public. According to the survey, economists' average CPI expectations for September shaped up at the level of 2.18 percent.

In the study, it was observed that economists' inflation forecasts for September ranged between 1.90 percent and 2.60 percent.

Forecast of Decline in Annual Inflation

Based on the economists' average September expectation rate of 2.18 percent, annual inflation, which was 31.51 percent in August, is projected to recede to the level of 30.16 percent in September.

The Consumer Price Index had recorded an increase of 1.84 percent in the previous month of August.

Year-End Inflation Forecast

Within the scope of the survey, the average of economists' year-end inflation expectations was also calculated and announced as 29.66 percent.

The Turkish Statistical Institute is expected to officially announce the September inflation data on October 5.
