President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with his economic aides in Beştepe to evaluate recent developments in the capital markets and the fund investigation. As a result of the critical summit lasting approximately 2.5 hours, it was decided to establish the 'Fund Coordination Board' chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz.

Critical Summit Held in Beştepe

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with his economic aides in Beştepe to evaluate recent developments in the capital markets and the steps to be taken. Important decisions were made during the meeting, which lasted about two and a half hours.

Establishment of the Fund Coordination Board

In the written statement issued after the summit, it was officially announced that the Fund Coordination Board had been established under the chairmanship of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz to ensure general coordination.

Capital Markets and Liquidation Process

Stating that extremely careful actions are taken due to the nature of capital markets, Erdoğan emphasized that efforts regarding the liquidation process of closed funds are being carried out meticulously.

Legal Process and Audit Steps

Stating that those identified as engaging in market-disrupting actions through funds will be held accountable before the law, Erdoğan stated that the State Supervisory Council has initiated the investigation and audit process.

Transfer Processes and Roadmap

While the transfer processes regarding Katılımevim, Birevim, and İktisat Katılım Bankası were discussed at the meeting, the Capital Markets Board also presented the roadmap prepared for payments to the participants.

Aides and Institutions Attending the Summit

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, and officials from the BRSA, CMB, CBRT, SDIF, and Borsa Istanbul attended the critical meeting in Beştepe.
