Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar called on German businesspeople for new generation joint projects in the fields of natural gas, green hydrogen, and electricity grids at a business forum held between Turkey and Germany's State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Call Made at the Business Forum
Participating in the business forum organized between Turkey and Germany's State of North Rhine-Westphalia, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar spoke at the meeting, which was also attended by State Premier Hendrik Wüst, and called for joint projects.
National Energy Policies
Minister Bayraktar stated that the national energy policy is built on three main pillars: securing energy supply, eliminating import dependency, and progressing toward the 2053 Net Zero Emission target.
Energy Corridors and Supply Security
He emphasized that corridors such as TANAP and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan not only meet domestic demand but also actively strengthen Europe's supply security.
Financing and Investment Needs
Referring to International Energy Agency data, Minister Bayraktar stated that global clean energy investments must exceed $4.5 trillion annually by the early 2030s, drawing attention to Germany's role in closing the financing gap.
