EU and 51 Countries Call on Russia for Full and Unconditional Ceasefire

While conveying a message of solidarity with Ukraine in the joint statement, deep concern was shared with the public over Russia's intensifying attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure across Ukraine.
Emphasis on Global Food Security
Drawing particular attention to the attacks in the Black Sea, the statement noted that Russia has been trying to disrupt Ukraine's grain exports and that this situation jeopardizes global food security.
Support for Freedom of Navigation
Stating that efforts to guarantee freedom of navigation in the Black Sea are supported, the statement emphasized the vital importance of protecting commercial vessels and critical infrastructure.
Call on Russia for Diplomacy
Reminding that Ukraine has accepted a full, immediate, and unconditional ceasefire since March 2025, Russia was urged to take the same step toward meaningful diplomacy and negotiations leading to peace.
