FATF 5th Round Report Published: Turkey Found Compliant with 38 Out of 40 Recommendations
According to the evaluation report published by the Financial Action Task Force, it was noted that Turkey has no strategic deficiencies.
The FATF 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Report regarding Turkey's fight against crime proceeds and terrorist financing has been made public. The Ministry of Treasury and Finance announced that Turkey was found compliant with 38 out of 40 recommendations in terms of technical compliance.
Publication of the FATF Report
The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) 5th Round Mutual Evaluation Report regarding Turkey was officially published on September 23, 2026.
Technical Compliance and Recommendations
Within the framework of the statement made by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, Financial Crimes Investigation Board, Turkey was found to be fully compliant with 38 of the 40 FATF recommendations in terms of legislative compliance.
Effectiveness Assessment Results
In comprehensive evaluations conducted regarding effectiveness, Turkey was evaluated in the category of substantially effective in 3 of the 11 Immediate Outcomes, and moderately effective in 8.
Grey List Statement
In the statement made by MASAK, it was emphasized that FATF clearly registered that Turkey has no strategic deficiencies and that there is no risk of the grey list.
Future Period Strategy Documents
It was stated that the efforts on the issues identified in the report will be decisively continued within the framework of the strategy documents for the periods 2026-2030 and 2025-2029 with the contributions of relevant institutions.
