Ford decides to recall hundreds of thousands of vehicles in the US
Automotive giant Ford is calling hundreds of thousands of vehicles to service centers for inspection and repair due to the risk of fuel tank leaks and displacement.
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced that hundreds of thousands of vehicles posing a risk of fuel tank leaks and displacement are being recalled for safety reasons.
Reason for the Recall
In a statement issued by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, it was reported that fuel tank leaks and assembly problems were detected in Ford-branded vehicles.
Risks Posed in Traffic
It was emphasized that a dislodged fuel tank could create danger in traffic and increase the risk of accidents, while fuel leaks could cause the engine to stall or increase the risk of fire.
Vehicle Models Covered
It was stated that certain F-150 model vehicles between the years 2023 and 2027 will be affected by this process and recalled due to safety concerns.
Service Operations and Free Repair
Information was shared that authorized service centers will inspect the fuel tank straps and, when deemed necessary, check and replace these parts free of charge.
