FTSE Russell Maintains Turkey's Advanced Emerging Market Status
Index provider FTSE Russell left Turkey's market position unchanged while stating that the inter-institutional dialogue process is ongoing.
Following its annual evaluation, global index provider FTSE Russell announced that it made no changes to Turkey's Advanced Emerging Market status, preserving its position and not including the country on the watch list.
No Status Change Experienced
Completing the eagerly awaited annual classification evaluation in global markets, FTSE Russell did not make any downgrade or negative update to Turkey's Advanced Emerging Market status.
Watch List Decision
As a result of the recent evaluation, it became clear that Turkey was not placed on any watch list and its current market classification was officially preserved.
Dialogue with Market Authorities
The index provider reported that a constructive dialogue mechanism with authorized institutions in Turkey is actively ongoing within the framework of certain concerns regarding the quality of actual free float data.
Institutional Talks Continue
In the official statement, it was conveyed that efforts to increase the level of detail in the data published by the Central Registry Agency are being addressed in cooperation with Borsa Istanbul and the CMB.
