Fuel price hikes nationwide: Diesel exceeds 100 TL per liter
Following successive price hikes amid fluctuations in oil prices, diesel prices in Istanbul, Ankara, and İzmir have reached a new level.
While fluctuations in oil prices driven by the Iran war continue to impact the domestic fuel market, successive price hikes on diesel have pushed the price per liter past the 100 TL threshold in Istanbul.
Fluctuations in Oil Prices
Although the barrel price of Brent crude experienced a decline, it surpassed $109.2 this week, causing notable volatility in the markets and reflecting on domestic prices.
Successive Price Increases
As a result of ongoing developments, an additional price hike of 6.5 liras was applied to the diesel fuel group the day before, followed by another increase of 4.6 liras today.
Current Prices in Major Cities
Following the increases, the price of a liter of diesel rose to 100 liras and 22 kuruş on the European side of Istanbul, and to 100 liras and 8 kuruş on the Anatolian side.
The Situation in Ankara and İzmir
According to information shared by industry representatives, the current liter prices of diesel reached 101 liras and 37 kuruş in Ankara, and 101 liras and 64 kuruş in İzmir.
