GENAR Research Company's Economic Management Confidence Survey Results

A new public opinion poll conducted by GENAR has revealed the extent of the lack of trust in economic management across society. According to the survey results, the majority of citizens stated that they do not trust current economic policies.

General Distrust Rate

According to the GENAR survey results shared with the public by Nefes columnist Aytunç Erkin, the rate of those who do not trust the economic management in society as a whole reached 67.3 percent.

Distribution of Distrust

According to the data obtained, while 32.2 percent of society stated that they definitely do not trust the economic management, 35.1 percent stated that they generally do not trust it.

Trends Among Party Bases

The attitudes of political party voters were also examined in the research. Accordingly, 31.8 percent of AKP voters and 53.6 percent of MHP voters declared that they do not trust the economic management.

Views of AKP Voters

While 47.2 percent of AKP voters stated that they trust the economic management, the rate of those reporting distrust was recorded as 31.8 percent in total.

Trend Among MHP Voters

Among MHP voters, the rate of distrust towards economic management increased remarkably, reaching a total of 53.6 percent.

Most Important Agenda Item

Regardless of the political preferences of the participants, the research clearly revealed that the country's most fundamental agenda item is inflation and the cost of living.

Economy and Party Preferences

The majority of voters belonging to different political parties pointed to the economy in the first place, and these rates showed a balanced distribution among parties.

Most Successful Area Evaluation

While AKP voters pointed to healthcare as the most successful area with 19.7 percent, the rate of those who found the economy to be the most successful area lagged behind at 2.8 percent.
