While spot gold fell to the $4,097 level, industry representatives gathered at the LBMA conference forecasted that the price would rise to $5,013 over the next 12 months.
Loss of Value in Markets
Global markets focusing on the US Federal Reserve's September meeting minutes brought about a decline in gold prices. As a result of these developments, spot gold lost 1.64% in value.
In parallel with this drop in spot gold, a downward movement was also observed in gram gold prices in the domestic market. During the day, gram gold fell to the level of 6,482 liras with a 1.53% loss.
Fed Minutes and Signals
Investors are awaiting the Federal Open Market Committee minutes, which will be released later in the day, to gauge their effect on policymakers' degree of resolve. Markets have focused on the signals that will emerge from these minutes.
