On the morning of September 6, 2026, a decline was observed in gold prices. Ounce gold experienced a loss of 0.96 percent, and gram gold saw a loss of 0.74 percent, trading in the free market.

Current Value Loss in Markets

Gold prices showed a decline on the morning of September 6, 2026, and the retreat in ounce gold was directly reflected in domestic market figures. Ounce gold experienced a decline of 0.96 percent.

Gram gold, on the other hand, lost 0.96 percent of its value, trading at the level of 6,898 TL, determining the general picture in the early hours of the day.

Free Market Prices

In the free market, the buying price of gram gold was 6,898.04 TL, while the selling price was recorded at the level of 6,898.85 TL, and the daily decline rate reached 0.74 percent.

On the pure gold side, the buying price stood at 6,863.55 TL, and the selling price was realized as 6,864.36 TL.

Status of Other Gold Types

While quarter gold was at the level of 11,036.87 TL for buying, it reached 11,279.62 TL for selling, and half gold found buyers at 22,004.75 TL.

The selling price of Republican gold was seen as 44,980.51 TL, while the selling price of full gold was realized at the level of 44,844 TL.

Goldman Sachs' Expectations

Despite the decline in prices, a striking prediction came from the giant bank, and Goldman Sachs Research projected that the ounce price of gold will rise to $4,900 by the end of 2026.

The institution stated that strong gold demand by central banks for reserve diversification purposes and Federal Reserve expectations will support this process.
