Medical Campaign Providing Free Health Services Launched in Hama
A health initiative launched in Hama, Syria, provides comprehensive support to the public, including examinations, medications, and cornea transplants.
A comprehensive medical campaign launched in Hama in cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Health and the Transatlantic Humanitarian Aid Organization offers free examination, treatment, medicine, and cornea transplant services to the local population.
Launch and Scope of the Campaign
Carried out in cooperation with the Syrian Ministry of Health and the Transatlantic Humanitarian Aid Organization, the health campaign was launched in the Hama governorate on September 5 with the aim of providing free health services to the people in the city center and northern countryside.
According to the scheduled calendar, the aforementioned health activity will continue uninterrupted until September 10.
Outpatient Clinic Services and Surgical Operations
Within the framework of the campaign, examination, diagnosis, and treatment services are provided to citizens through various outpatient clinics in the fields of internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics, orthopedics, and dermatology.
Dr. Fahr Turkavi, Health Officer of the Transatlantic Humanitarian Aid Organization for Hama City, stated that cornea transplant surgeries will be performed on specific patients at the Eye Diseases Hospital in the city on September 6 and 7.
Activities at the Hattab Health Center
Patients applying to the Hattab Health Center receive examination services by specialist doctors, and medical advice and guidance appropriate for each case are meticulously provided.
Additionally, the medicines needed by the examined patients are supplied completely free of charge via the mobile pharmacy operating in the campaign area.
Citizen Reactions and Support
Sellum Rabid, living in the eastern countryside of Hama, stated that his child was treated thanks to the campaign and this situation alleviated the financial burdens on the family.
Hanan El-Nehhar expressed that the initiative enabled her to have her semi-paralyzed son examined by specialist doctors and to obtain his necessary medication free of charge.
