Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası announced that the necessary applications have been submitted to official institutions regarding the share transfer transactions of Katılımevim Tasarruf Finansman, Birevim Tasarruf Finansman, and İktisat Katılım Bankası.

Application Made to Official Institutions

Türkiye Emlak Katılım Bankası made an important announcement through the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP) regarding its acquisition move in the savings finance sector. Following its previous material event disclosure, it was reported that official applications concerning the share transfer transactions of the relevant companies have been completed.

With this official notification made by the bank, a new phase in the process has been entered, and it was stated that the transactions are aimed to be finalized as soon as possible following the approval processes.

Strategic Acquisition Move

It is aimed to further strengthen the activities of Emlak Katılım—built upon its 100 years of experience in the financial sector and corporate structure—with this move. With this strategic step, the bank's sectoral position is targeted to be solidified.

In the statement, the information was shared that the companies planned for the transfer transactions include leading savings finance institutions of the sector as well as İktisat Katılım Bankası A.Ş.

Approval Process of Relevant Institutions

Within the scope of the share transfer transactions, applications were made to the General Directorate of Publicly Owned Corporations and Enterprises of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance of the Republic of Turkey. At the same time, official applications were also submitted to the Capital Markets Board and the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency.

Following the acquisition of the necessary permissions and approvals from the relevant regulatory and supervisory institutions, the share transfer transactions are expected to be concluded swiftly.

Growth Data of the Sector

According to the first-half data for 2026 announced by the Financial Institutions Association, the savings finance sector recorded significant growth. The asset size of the sector showed an increase of 188 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching the level of 501 billion TL.

During the same period, the number of customers in the sector also increased rapidly, succeeding in surpassing the figure of 1.5 million, and its weight in the financial market became even more prominent.
