Important License and FEED Contracts Signed for Petkim's Master Plan

Kanan Mirzayev, Head of the SOCAR Türkiye Refining and Petrochemical Business Unit and General Manager of Petkim, announced that important contracts have been signed with Technip Energies, Univation Technologies, and Lummus Novolen Technology within the framework of the Master Plan.

New Contracts Within the Framework of the Master Plan

Within the scope of the Master Plan studies carried out by Petkim, following the Memorandum of Understanding with Technip Energies, a license agreement was signed under the FEED and MFSC Technology framework.

Following the Pre-FEED studies, the technical, commercial, and economic parameters of the project will be addressed in detail during this process.

Companies with Global Expertise

Official agreements were secured with engineering firms and licensors known for their global expertise during the Master Plan FEED process.

In this context, contracts were signed with Univation Technologies for the polyethylene unit and Lummus Novolen Technology for the polypropylene unit.

Capacity Increase and Production Targets

If a final investment decision is made following the FEED studies, it is planned to increase ethylene capacity.

The target is to raise the annual ethylene capacity from 558 thousand tons to 1.2 million tons, and the polypropylene capacity to 550 thousand tons.

A Resource of 70 Million Dollars Allocated

Petkim General Manager Kanan Mirzayev stated that they have allocated a total resource of 70 million dollars to the FEED process.
