The Second Exhibition of the Arkas and Pompidou Collaboration Opened in Izmir
The Lumina exhibition, the second event in the collaboration between the Lucien Arkas Art Center and the Centre Pompidou, has met with art lovers.
The Lucien Arkas Art Center at the Mistral Tower in Izmir has opened its second exhibition, Lumina: Art of Color and Light, under the five-year protocol signed with the Centre Pompidou collection.

The Lucien Arkas Art Center, located in the Mistral Tower in Bayraklı, Izmir, presented the Art of Color and Light to art enthusiasts with the second exhibition of its five-year event protocol signed with the Centre Pompidou collection.
Notable Figures of the Exhibition
The opening of the Lumina exhibition, featuring 83 global signatures and held on the evening of Friday, September 25, was attended by Arkas Holding founder Lucien Arkas and Centre Pompidou Director Laurent Le Bon.
French Consul General in Istanbul Nadia Fanton also took part in the press conference prior to the opening, emphasizing the cultural significance of this international collaboration.
Artists and Works
Including a painting by Nejad Melih Devrim from the Pompidou collection, the exhibition brings together works by numerous artists such as Georges Braque, Vassily Kandinsky, Gerhard Richter, Joan Mitchell, Bridget Riley, Man Ray, and Victor Vasarely.
Curators and Schedule
Prepared under the curation of British curator Anna Hiddleston and assistant curator Noémie Fillon, the exhibition can be visited until February 14, 2027, along with activities tailored for children and adults.
Five-Year Protocol
Within the scope of the 2026–2031 protocol signed with the Centre Pompidou Cultural Center in Paris, France, a total of 10 exhibitions, two per year, are aimed to be brought together with art lovers in Izmir.
