In August, Bullion Gold Provided Investors with the Highest Real Return
According to TURKSTAT data, while bullion gold achieved the highest real earnings in August, it became the investment vehicle that caused the most losses over the 6-month period.
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, bullion gold provided investors with the highest real return in August. Gold also stood out as the most profitable investment vehicle in the annual evaluation.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, bullion gold provided investors with the highest real return in August. When deflated by consumer prices, bullion gold offered a real return of 7.93 percent in August.
Monthly Performance of Other Investment Vehicles
According to the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI), Government Domestic Debt Securities (GDDS) provided a real return of 0.66 percent, the euro 0.61 percent, and deposit interest 0.33 percent in August. In the same period, the US dollar caused a loss of 0.86 percent and the BIST 100 index a loss of 1.83 percent.
Highlights of the Three-Month Period
In the three-month evaluation, Government Domestic Debt Securities provided the highest real return. When deflated by the consumer price index, GDDS offered a gain of 4.77 percent.
Deposits Gained in the Six-Month Period
In the six-month evaluation, the highest real return occurred in deposit interest. Bullion gold, which ranked first in monthly performance, was the vehicle that caused the most losses during this period.
Annual Evaluation Results
In the annual evaluation, bullion gold once again provided the highest real return. When deflated by consumer prices, gold provided its investors with a gain of 16.49 percent.
