Millions of Citizens Reached Through National Health Literacy Action Plan
Within the framework of the project launched last year, the aim is to disseminate accurate health information throughout Turkey.
Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu announced that a total of 12.1 million citizens were directly reached across 81 provinces in line with the National Health Literacy Action Plan.
Scope of the Action Plan and Number of People Reached
The results of the National Health Literacy Action Plan, which was put into effect last year, have been shared with the public. As a result of the activities carried out, it was reported that a total of 12 million 182 thousand citizens were directly reached across all 81 provinces.
Activities Carried Out in Various Institutions and Living Spaces
This comprehensive work, targeting different segments of society, was implemented in various venues such as schools, barracks, nursing homes, and healthcare institutions. Thanks to the plan, direct information transfer was provided to a broad cross-section of society.
Combating Misinformation and the Importance of Accurate Information
While emphasizing that accurate health information is an integral part of a healthy life, the importance of combating false information was stated. Gratitude was expressed to all colleagues working in the field for their efforts.
