New calculations in line with inflation forecasts have been put on the table for the salary raise that millions of SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees will receive in January 2027. In light of the announced Medium-Term Program and survey data, different raise scenarios come to the fore.
Market Participants Survey
The Central Bank's September Market Participants Survey raised the year-end 2026 inflation expectation. This situation brought a raise rate exceeding 10 percent to the agenda for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees.
Medium-Term Program and Inflation Expectations
In the Medium-Term Program, the year-end 2026 inflation was projected as 28.4 percent. According to this forecast, the January raise for SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees was calculated as 9.04 percent.
Base Salary Calculations
If the current base salary of 23,552 liras is increased according to different inflation rates, new lowest retiree salary figures are also beginning to become clear.
