During the meeting held with South Korea's Minister of Trade Park Jung-Sung, the current course of economic relations between the two countries and steps to contribute to balanced trade were addressed.

Minister Bolat stated that they welcomed South Korea's desire to increase its investments in Turkey with satisfaction and expressed that relations based on mutual benefit would continue.

The two ministers evaluated recent developments in global trade and topics on the G20 agenda while emphasizing the foreign trade vision under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Meeting with the United Kingdom

Another key contact of Minister Bolat within the scope of the G20 took place with United Kingdom Secretary of State for Business, Innovation, Science and Trade Jonathan Reynolds.

The meeting addressed the strengthening of trade and investment relations between the two countries and negotiations for the expansion of the Free Trade Agreement.

$40 Billion Trade Target

Stating that the trade volume between the two countries reached $24 billion in 2025, Bolat announced that the fifth round of Free Trade Agreement negotiations had been held.

It was emphasized that the aim is to reach the joint trade volume target of $40 billion with the completion of the negotiations.
