Interest discount rates for Treasury-supported loans for tradesmen and artisans have been re-determined
New alternatives and interest discount rates have been introduced for tradesmen and artisans who cannot meet the criteria, enabling them to benefit from Halk Bankası loans.
A new regulation has been made regarding the interest discount rates and application conditions for tradesmen and artisans who cannot meet the necessary criteria when utilizing Treasury-supported investment and working capital loans.
Loan Conditions and Debt Status
Within the scope of the relevant law, tradesmen and artisans are required to have no overdue tax debts to tax offices and no overdue social security premium debts, or these debts must have been restructured and the restructuring must not have been violated, as documented by a certificate obtained at most 15 days in advance.
Two Alternatives for Loan Utilization
In the event that the specified conditions cannot be met, two different alternatives are offered for tradesmen and artisans to benefit from the loan facilities provided by Halk Bankası.
First Alternative and Payment Conditions
While a portion of the debt corresponding to a maximum of 25 percent of the loan provided with Treasury interest support must be deposited into the relevant offices, this amount cannot exceed 300 thousand liras annually, and the discount rate is applied as 25 percent.
Second Alternative and Updated Rates
The Treasury discount rate on investment and operating loan interest will be applied as 40 percent instead of 50 percent for some groups of tradesmen who cannot fully meet the criteria, and as 80 percent instead of 100 percent, and 48 percent instead of 60 percent for other groups.
Extension of Term for Traditional Professions
The practice of exempting loans granted to traditional, cultural, and vanishing occupation branches from the aforementioned conditions has been extended until December 31, 2027.
