As Istanbul prepares to host the International Istanbul Tourism Fair for the fourth time in Yenikapı on September 24-25, it has been reported that all requests for the fair are already fully booked.

While reinforcing its brand city image through congress, cultural, and health tourism, Istanbul is preparing to host a major tourism gathering. The International Istanbul Tourism Fair, to be held in Yenikapı, will bring together global tourism professionals.

Broad Participant Profile

Within the scope of the fair, over 345 participating companies from 29 countries and 300 international buyers from 39 countries will be hosted in Istanbul. A very wide geography from the UK, Europe, CIS, Middle East, America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa markets will be represented.

High Demand and Visitor Target

In the organization where all requests were filled two months in advance and new requests could not be accommodated, 1,245 international applications were received for the Hosted Buyer Program. The fair is projected to host a total of over 17,000 visitors.

Goal of Entering the Top Three Fairs

Dream Project Board Member and CEO Volkan Ataman stated that they aim to rank among the top three largest tourism fairs in the world within five years. Ataman emphasized that Turkey demonstrates resilience against regional tensions thanks to its market diversity.

New Commercial Connections and Opportunities

TÜROB President Müberra Eresin stated that B2B meetings will contribute to establishing new commercial connections and developing mutual business volume. ITO and TÜRSAB executives also drew attention to the importance the organization holds for the sector.

Multimillion-Dollar Budget Management

According to research conducted in cooperation with an international consulting firm, 58 percent of participants manage budgets exceeding 250,000 dollars, while 21 percent possess a volume of over 5 million dollars.
